Please read these terms before making a booking payment.
Every tattoo appointment involves time reserved specifically for you, and custom designs often require preparation before your appointment takes place.
These terms explain how bookings, payments, cancellations and rescheduling work, and how your booking payment is used.
A £50 booking payment is required to secure your tattoo appointment.
Please only make a booking payment once we've discussed your tattoo, agreed on the price or session arrangement, and selected a suitable appointment date.
Your booking is confirmed once I've received your payment and sent you confirmation.
The agreed price won't change without discussing and agreeing any additional charges with you beforehand.
Your booking payment helps secure the time I've reserved for your appointment and contributes towards the work involved in preparing for it.

This work takes place outside your actual tattoo appointment and is an important part of the overall service.
If an appointment is cancelled, any amount retained from your booking payment will be based on reasonable losses and work already carried out, subject to your statutory cancellation rights.
If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible.
I understand that circumstances change, but cancellations can result in lost working time and preparation that has already been completed.
Where a statutory cancellation right does not apply, or has expired, I may retain some or all of your booking payment to cover reasonable losses directly resulting from the cancellation.
These may include design preparation already undertaken, appointment time that cannot reasonably be rebooked, and other costs incurred in preparing for your appointment.
Any amount retained will be proportionate to the actual loss, taking account of costs saved and reasonable opportunities to fill the cancelled appointment.
If the amount retained is less than your booking payment, the remainder will be refunded.
Booking payments are not automatically refundable or non-refundable. Refunds depend on the circumstances of the cancellation, work already completed, losses incurred and your statutory rights.
I'm happy to accommodate changes to appointments wherever reasonably possible.
If a new booking payment is necessary to secure another appointment, this will be explained before you agree to the new booking.
Where a booking payment is transferred to another appointment, it will continue to count towards the agreed tattoo price.
Please contact me as early as possible if something unexpected happens.
If you fail to attend your appointment without notice, your £50 booking payment will normally be retained where the resulting losses justify this.
This is because work may already have been undertaken in preparation for your tattoo, and your reserved appointment time cannot normally be offered to another client without notice.
Preparation, design work and lost appointment time have a financial cost, even when the tattoo itself doesn't go ahead.
Any amount retained will be limited to reasonable losses directly resulting from the missed appointment, taking account of work completed, costs saved and whether the appointment could reasonably have been filled.
If you wish to book another appointment following a no-show, a new booking payment will normally be required.
Please arrive on time for your appointment.
If you're running late, let me know as soon as possible.
Depending on how late you arrive, we may need to adjust the amount of work completed or rearrange the appointment.
If there isn't enough time remaining to complete the agreed tattoo safely, the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Where lateness causes appointment time to be lost, I may retain a reasonable amount from the booking payment to cover the resulting loss, subject to your statutory rights.
Any further booking arrangements will be discussed with you.
All custom tattoo designs are prepared specifically for each client, and the process varies depending on the size and complexity of the project.
For larger original designs, such as sleeves, I may share an initial rough composition before your appointment so we can discuss the layout and overall direction.
For smaller tattoos and straightforward designs, you'll generally see your prepared artwork on the day.
Finished tattoo designs aren't routinely sent out in advance, as this helps protect original artwork from being copied or reused.
We'll always review the design together before tattooing begins, and you'll have the opportunity to discuss adjustments to the sizing, placement and details.
Significant changes to the original agreed brief may require additional preparation, a revised quote or another appointment.
Any additional charges will be explained and agreed before further work takes place.
You must be aged 18 or over to receive a tattoo. Valid photographic identification may be requested.
Please tell me before your appointment about any relevant health concerns, skin conditions or other circumstances that could affect whether tattooing can safely take place.
If you're feeling unwell, please contact me before attending.
I may need to postpone or decline an appointment where there is a genuine health, safety or legal reason not to proceed.
Any payment or refund arrangements will depend on the circumstances, including whether the issue was reasonably foreseeable and whether either party was at fault.
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Bookings arranged online or at a distance may be subject to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Where a statutory cancellation right applies, you normally have 14 days from the day after the booking contract is made to cancel without giving a reason.
Certain contracts are legally exempt from this right. Where an exemption applies, the normal cancellation terms in this policy will apply instead.
Where a statutory cancellation period applies, design preparation or other services will only begin during that period following your express request.
If you request that work begins during the statutory cancellation period and subsequently cancel within it, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already supplied, provided the relevant legal requirements have been met.
Where the agreed service has been fully performed following your express request and your acknowledgement of the consequences, your statutory cancellation right may end.
If the requirements for charging for early services haven't been met, you will not be charged for that work where the law prohibits it.
To cancel, email alikatattooart@gmail.com with your name and booking details, clearly stating that you wish to cancel.
You may use the cancellation form provided at the end of these terms, but this is not compulsory. Any clear statement of your decision to cancel is sufficient.
Where a statutory refund is due, it will be processed within the legally required period, normally within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice, using your original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Your statutory cancellation rights take priority over any conflicting terms elsewhere in this policy.
Occasionally, I may need to rearrange an appointment because of illness, an emergency or circumstances beyond my control.
If this happens, I'll contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
If I'm unable to provide the agreed service for reasons that aren't your fault, you'll be offered an alternative appointment or a refund for the service I cannot provide, in accordance with your legal rights.
You won't be charged a cancellation fee where I'm responsible for cancelling your appointment.
Booking payments can be made securely through my website.
Any remaining tattoo balance can be paid by cash or through the online payment option provided.
Your agreed tattoo price and payment arrangements will be confirmed before your appointment.

Please include your name and appointment date so I can identify your booking.
For cancellations and rescheduling requests, the date and time your email is received will be used to determine when notice was given.
I'd always rather you got in touch early if something unexpected happens.
These terms apply to bookings made after the policy comes into effect and form part of your booking agreement when they have been provided to you and accepted before your booking is confirmed.
Any future changes to these terms will apply to new bookings only, unless a different arrangement is expressly agreed.
These terms do not remove or limit any rights provided by UK consumer law.
Complete and return this form only if you wish to exercise an applicable statutory cancellation right. You can also cancel by sending a clear statement by email instead.
